CABBAGE SALAD


                                                CABBAGE  SALAD

Ingredients

1  2 cups of finely chopped cabbage 
2   salt to test
3  roasted peanut coarse  powder 2 tsp
4  lemon juice 1 1/2  tsp
5 sugar 1/4 tsp
6  coriander leaves or garnishing 
7  for tempering ( tadaka) 
     oil 1 tsp, 1/4 mustard  seeds 
      pinch of asofoetida (hing )
         turmeric powder a pinch ( optional )
         green chilly slit 1 
     
                                                  METHOD 
 To the chopped cabbage add salt ,sugar. lemon juice and peanut powder and mix well.
 temper with muster seeds,chilly,hing powder and pour on cabbage mixture and mix well and serve 
Tip  
to his salad you can add grated carrot , chopped capsicum ,This well add taste and color

Carrot Salad

                        Carrot Salad           
     INGREDIENT
1  Carrot   grate  medium size       1
2   Moong dal ( yellow dal )             2/3 tsp   
3  fresh coconut grated    3 tbsp
 4  lemon juice                   1 tsp
  5  for tempering 
   oil                                     1 tsp
   mustard seeds                 1/2 tsp
    pinch of asafoetida (hing powder 
     green chilly small slit          1
     6 salt to taste 

                Method 
     Peel carrot and grate and keep aside .To this grated carrot add soaked dal ,coconut, salt ,lemon juice and mix well . Temper this with oil,masturdseeds ,hing and chilly .Pour this on carrot mixture .Mix well.Seasoning with coriander leaves .
And enjoy salad  
Tip
you can prepare finely chopped cucumber salad with above method using Chana dal as additional

My 4th reciepe Funugreek green pachdi ( Green Methi pachadi)

               

                      FENUGREEK   GREEN  PACHADI  (  GREEN METHI  )


   INGEREDIANTS ;-

   1.  Finely   chopped  green  leaves                     4 cups

   2   Medium size onion                                         2 nos

   3    Lemon juice                                                   1 tbs

   4   Red chili  powder                                            1 tsp

   5    Roasted  Peanuts  coarse  powder                1tbs

   6    Salt to taste

   7    Groundnut oil                                                   1 tbs 

    8   Sugar                                                                 1 tsp

    9  Mustered  seeds, Jeera, Hing powder for seasoning   

    Method 

    Add  fine cut onion , peanut powder, chili powder, sugar,lemon juice, salt to taste 
     in  fine chopped  funugreek  green leaves( Green Methi). Mix it well.  
     Heat oil in a  pan. Season with Mustered seeds,Jeera and Hing powder  add this 
      to above mixture. Mix it well  and serve
      
     Optional 
     You can add grated carat 

      You can also prepare Spring onion salad with above method using spring onion leaves 
       and spring onion

Lion Date Burfee


              Lion Date Burfee

  Ingredients  

 1  One cup seedless  dates pieces ( khajur)
2 one cup chopped nuts (Badam cashew etc )
3  one tbs oil 
4  2/3 marie biscuits ( optional )

 Method 

chop nuts into small pieces. Heat oil in a pan and add dates 
pieces and fry for a minute till it becomes soft.Add nuts and biscuit pieces . Mix thoroughly and make a ball and roll them over on desiccated coconut and wrap it in butter paper. refrigerate for 10 mins after that cut into required size pieces
